Fredonia tennis takes down Jamestown
JAMESTOWN — Powered by a perfect performance in singles action, the Fredonia girls tennis team swept Jamestown 5-0 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 action on Thursday.
Fredonia (10-1, 7-0) received matching 6-0, 6-0 performances from Nella Darrell-Sterbak and Charis LaBarr in singles competition.
In doubles, Elizabeth Joy and Rosie Manzella secured a win in the first grouping 6-2, 6-4 and Amelia Way and Hazel Daly-Griffen battled for a 6-1, 6-2 win. Third doubles mirrored the singles competition as the duo of Michaela Haas and Lexi Ferguson won 6-0, 6-0.
