Mays has another big day

SILVER CREEK — Nathan Mays poured in three goals and tacked on two assists as Silver Creek/Forestville beat Salamanca 6-2 in nonleague boys soccer Thursday.

Mays, who is up to 11 goals on the season for the Black Knights (2-1-0), scored from Ryan Cook in the fourth and 10th minutes before tallying from Lukas Charles in the 35th minute.

Cook scored goals from Mays in the 17th and 29th minutes before adding an unassisted goal in the 45th minute.

For the Warriors (0-2-0), Easton Chudy scored from Darren Hayes and Taylor Hayes scored on a penalty kick.

EAGLES BLANK FREWSBURG

ELLICOTTVILLE — Tosh Klein had two goals and an assist to lead Ellicottville/Franklinville past nonleague Frewsburg 6-0.

Klein scored from Jaxson LaCroix in the second minute before Rian Johnson scored from Klein in the third minute. Jacob Henning scored unassisted in the 37th minute and Klein scored from Teddy Edwards in the 38th minute as the Eagles (2-1-1) led 4-0 at halftime.

After the break, Holden Basher scored from Edwards in the 43rd minute and LaCroix scored from Jackson Kruszynski in the 74th minute.

The Bears, who didn’t field a varsity team last year, fell to 0-1-0.

JAMESTOWN — Jamestown beat nonleague Cattaraugus-Little Valley 10-0.

The Red & Green improved to 1-1-0 on the season.
