The best periodical for ‘Everything Outdoors’
Get a FREE issue of the Conservationist.
In these days and times, it’s hard to say no to anything free, and if there is one subscription that my family and I enjoy each issue, it is the New York State Conservationist magazine. The magazine is published bi-monthly, six times a year, and is available in both print and digital forms. Each issue covers informative articles and reports about the New York outdoors with highlights and colorful pictures. Everything from air, water, forests, fish, wildlife, outdoor recreation, and public and environmental health initiatives. Topics cover fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, natural history, natural viewing, and more.
Each issue provides stunning photography that showcases and captivates each of my family. We save all the issues. My grandkids look at the magazine multiple times a month. That’s a good thing because the magazine is a reliable source, relying on scientific accuracy in the stories it provides.
The subscription includes a FREE periodic delivery of Conservationist for Kids magazine, a version targeting younger readers with engaging environmental facts and fun activities. The best part for everyone is that this periodical is affordable. An annual subscription to Conservationist magazine is $12 for six beautiful issues, plus the first free trial issue (making it seven). If you know someone who enjoys the outdoors, this could be the perfect gift subscription to last the entire year. Some of the magazine’s regular features include columns such as “Letters,” where readers share their experiences and thoughts, “Back Trails,” which delves into the history of conservation, “Briefly,” a section for quick updates and news, and “On Patrol,” a column that discusses current environmental issues. I’d like them to address the why and wherefore about our recent electrical bill increases.
Visit the DEC website to subscribe or call 1-800-678-6399. If you prefer a digital-only subscription, it’s just $6 per year.
Gotta love the outdoors.
