Silver Creek/Forestville tops Dunkirk on Senior Night

SILVER CREEK — Carilene Sliwa and Abby Cook each scored twice as Silver Creek/Forestville celebrated Senior Night with a 6-0 shutout of Dunkirk in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 3 girls soccer Wednesday.

Sliwa scored from Eliza Mahaney in the 16th minute and Cook scored unassisted in the 17th minute as the Black Knights (5-3-0, 2-2-0) took a 2-0 lead into halftime.

After the break, Cook scored from Sliwa in the 44th minute, Sliwa scored from Meadow Azzarella in the 45th minute, Malayah Eldridge scored from Azzarella in the 55th minute and Weronika Kolakowska scored from Kaydence Ziolowski in the 78th minute.

Kimberly Bauer made two saves en route to the clean sheet.

The Marauders fell to 2-7-0 overall and 0-5-0 in the league.

TONELLI POWERS HILLBILLIES

FREDONIA — After a scoreless first half, Fredonia’s Cecelia Tonelli accumulated a second-half hat trick as the Hillbillies beat Southwestern 3-1 in Division 1 play at Fredonia High School.

The Trojans (6-3-0, 5-1-0) actually took a 1-0 lead in the 47th minute when Avery Johnson scored from Marlana Cresanti.

Tonelli scored her first goal of the game in the 62nd minute from Mariella Russo and added her second from Mady Polhamus just over a minute later. She completed her hat trick from Josie Swanson in the 66th minute.

Naomi Muck made eight saves in net for Fredonia (6-2-1, 3-2-1).

SNOW NETS OVERTIME WINNER

FALCONER — Sydnee Snow scored on a cross from Bailey Olson in the 12th minute of overtime as Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove beat Portville 3-2 in Division 1 action at Bill Race Field.

The teams went into halftime in a scoreless tie.

Portville’s Grace Gariepy scored on a penalty kick in the 45th minute before Snow answered from Kylie Kress in the 47th minute to tie the game.

Portville’s Lauren Lyle made it 2-1 in the 63rd minute, but Mary Lundmark scored from Madilyn Seastrum in the final minute of regulation to send it to overtime.

Ellyson Baglia made four saves for the Golden Cougars (5-3-0, 5-1-0) and Bella Morales took the loss in net for the Panthers (4-2-1, 3-2-1).

NEWELL EARNS CLEAN SHEET

MAYVILLE — Olivia Wolfe had two goals and an assist as Westfield/Brocton shut out Chautauqua Lake 3-0 in Division 3 action.

Avery Swank scored from Wolfe in the first minute of the game and Wolfe tallied from Swank as the Wolverines (4-2-1, 2-1-1) led 2-0 at halftime.

Wolfe capped the scoring from Swank in the 66th minute.

Abrianna Newell made five saves en route to the clean sheet.

The Eagles fell to 3-5-0 overall and 3-2-0 in the league.

WOJEWODA-KO SINKS JAMESTOWN

JAMESTOWN — Kai Wojewoda-Ko scored twice as Allegany-Limestone beat Jamestown 4-1 in Division 1 play at Strider Field.

The Red & Green’s Payton Gibbs scored unassisted midway through the first half to give her team a 1-0 lead, but Logan Potter scored from Kennedy Honeck at the 22-minute mark as the Gators (2-6-2, 2-2-2) tied the game.

After halftime, Jamestown (0-8-1, 0-5-1) just missed scoring on a cross and 30 seconds later, Allegany-Limestone took the lead when Wojewoda-Ko scored her first goal of the game. Four minutes after that, Honeck made it 3-1 and Wojewoda-Ko capped the scoring in the 65th minute.

“We had a couple of breakdowns in the back and before we knew it, it was 4-1,” Jamestown head coach Jason Kathman said. “I was really proud that the girls played way more direct today and attacked the goal.”

JaLeiya Glover made two saves in net for the Red & Green while Kenna MacArthur made five saves for Allegany-Limestone.

FIDURKO NETS HAT TRICK

FRANKLINVILLE — Ireland Fidurko netted a hat trick as Salamanca topped Franklinville 5-2 in Division 2 action.

Eloise Brown scored the other two goals for the Warriors (4-5-0, 4-1-0) while Brielle Massagli had a pair of assists. Kendra Bova Redeye made three saves in net.

Mya Sullivan scored and assisted on Alayna Spittler’s goal for the Panthers (1-6-0, 0-4-0). Kierra Knobloch made 13 saves in defeat.

MYERS SCORES OT WINNER

ELLICOTTVILLE — Delaney Myers scored from Ainsley Edwards in the third minute of overtime as Ellicottville edged Cattaraugus-Little Valley 2-1 in Division 2 action.

Talon Bramer scored from Rebekah Butcher in the 31st minute as the Timberwolves (4-5-0, 2-3-0) led 1-0 at halftime.

After the break, Harper Klein scored from Juleana Lyon in the 65th minute to tie the game.

Emma West made 11 saves for Cattaraugus-Little Valley and Ady Andrews made one save for the Eagles (5-4-0, 3-2-0).

BOWLES POURS IN 5 GOALS

RANDOLPH — Gianna Bowles scored five goals and added an assist as Randolph blanked Pine Valley/Gowanda 12-0 in Division 2.

Ella Monroe added two goals and an assist for the Cardinals (8-1-0, 4-0-0), who led 9-0 at halftime. Jenna Anderson, Jade Miller, Erin Little, Serena Smith and Ava Sears each chipped in a goal. Anderson and Jade McMaster each had two assists while Carra Sevenish, Autumn Malone and Grace Arnold-Hill each had one.

Harper Russell earned the clean sheet in net.

The Panthers fell to 0-7-0 overall and 0-3-0 in the league.

ECKWAHL SCORES TWO MORE

FREWSBURG — Audrey Eckwahl scored a goal in each half as Frewsburg topped North Collins 5-1 in Division 3 play.

Eckwahl scored from Presleigh Stelmack in the 11th minute and Ellie Cappa scored from Rozlyn Haglund in the 34th minute as the Bears (8-1-0, 5-0-0) led 2-0 at halftime.

After the break, Jaden Jimerson scored from Brook Lee, Riley Hawley scored from Elli Seiberg and Eckwahl scored unassisted.

Elysse Gruber made two saves in net for Frewsburg.

The Eagles fell to 3-4-2 overall and 1-3-1 in the league.
