Ellicottville edges Forestville volleyball
ELLICOTTVILLE — Riley Whitmer made 13 kills, nine digs, three blocks and three aces to lift Ellicottville volleyball past Forestville 25-23, 25-14, 22-25, 25-17 in nonleague action on Friday night.
Ande Northrup set up the Eagles (12-6) with 21 assists, seven kills, eight digs and two aces, Izzy Coburn made 10 kills, nine digs and five aces and Karle Northrup had four digs, four aces and three assists.
Forestville falls to 2-13 overall.
SENIORS RISE UP FOR BROCTON
BROCTON — Brocton defeated Salamanca in nonleague action 25-16, 25-14, 25-14.
Brocton (10-4) was led to victory by its seniors, Jax Young, Lizzy Kryniski, Arianna Nickerson, Grace Lundin, Evie Morrison, Zoe Spiller and Lily Zappe.
Salamanca falls to 1-12 overall.

WILDCATS EDGE COUGARS IN 5
SHERMAN — Emmersen Crawford scored eight kills, two blocks, two digs and three aces as Sherman defeated Cassadaga Valley 20-25, 25-22, 25-20, 20-25, 15-11 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 4 action on Thursday.
Madison Emory provided another seven kills and an ace for the Wildcats (5-10, 5-4), Carlie Gable made 10 digs and four kills and Caylee Pinzok had 21 assists, three digs, five aces and a kill.
Cassadaga Valley (8-8, 6-3) was led by Melanie Myles with 20 assists and 11 digs, Maddie Debo had nine digs and five kills, Alexis Pattyson made 15 kills, a block and four aces and Adrianna Myers provided 10 points and five digs.
