Westfield/Brocton takes on Silver Creek/Forestville in ‘C’ prequarters

Jamestown is the highest-seeded local team in the Section VI boys soccer playoffs, which begin this week.
The second-seeded Red & Green will wait to host a Class AAA semifinal Monday, Oct. 27 against the winner of No. 6 West Seneca and No. 3 Bennett/East/Pathways/South Park. Those teams will play in a quarterfinal Thursday, Oct. 23.
No. 1 Lancaster will host the other Class AAA semifinal Monday, Oct. 27 against the Thursday quarterfinal winner of No. 5 Niagara Falls and No. 4 Hutch Tech/Buffalo Arts/Emerson.
The Class AAA final will take place at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 at West Seneca West High School.
No. 3 Randolph will have a bye into the Class C quarterfinals Friday, Oct. 24. The Cardinals will host the winner of No. 11 Silver Creek/Forestville and No. 6 Westfield/Brocton. Those teams will play in a prequarterfinal Tuesday in Westfield.

Other local Class C prequarterfinals Tuesday include No. 9 Chautauqua Lake traveling to No. 8 North Collins, No. 12 Frewsburg visiting No. 5 Portville and No. 7 Ellicottville/Franklinville hosting No. 10 Global Concepts.
Winners of Friday’s quarterfinals at higher seeds will meet for semifinals at higher seeds Tuesday, Oct. 28. The Class C final will take place at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 at West Seneca West High School.
In Class B, Fredonia is the highest seed locally. The fifth-seeded Hillbillies will host No. 12 Southwestern in a 2:30 p.m. prequarterfinal Tuesday, Oct. 21. That same day, No. 9 Cassadaga Valley/Falconer will visit No. 8 Tonawanda at 4:30 p.m., No. 15 Pine Valley/Gowanda will travel to No. 2 Alden at 6 p.m. and No. 16 Salamanca will visit No. 1 Lafayette.
Class B quarterfinals are Friday, Oct. 24 at higher seeds and semifinals are Monday, Oct. 27 at higher seeds. The Class B championship game will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30 at West Seneca East High School.
Dunkirk is the No. 5 seed in Class A2 and will travel to Johnny B. Wiley Stadium to take on No. 4 City Honors for a quarterfinal Saturday, Oct. 25 at noon. Semifinals will take place Tuesday, Oct. 28 at higher seeds. The Class A2 final is set for 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31 at Hamburg High School.
International Prep is the Class A1 top seed. Its championship game is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31 at Hamburg High School.
The Class A crossover game will be at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3 at West Seneca West High School.
Maple Grove is the lone Class D team in Section VI and will wait for a Far West Regional matchup against the Section V champion at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7 at West Seneca West High School.
Clarence is the No. 1 seed in Class AA. Its championship will take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 at West Seneca West High School.
