Westfield/Brocton boys fall to Red & Green on Saturday

JAMESTOWN — Jamestown defeated Westfield/Brocton 2-1 in a nonleague boys soccer game Saturday at Strider Field.

Caleb Stoughton tallied the lone goal in the 28th minute for the Wolverines (11-3-0), assisted by Braylon Swanson.

The Red & Green improved to 6-6-1 overall.

SC/F POSTS SHUTOUT

SOUTH DAYTON — Ryan Cook scored three goals and collected a pair of assists to lead Silver Creek/Forestville to a 7-0 nonleague win over Pine Valley/Gowanda.

Nathan Mays scored two goals, and Christian Hatfield and Lukas Charles chipped in one apiece for the Black Knights (5-8-0). Other assists were recorded by Ala Hoelzle (two) and Hatfield (one). Aaron Cook recorded four saves for the clean sheet.

Pine Valley/Gowanda dropped to 1-13-0.

EAGLES EDGE RED DRAGONS

NORTH COLLINS — Neven Sheehy scored two goals and added an assist to spark North Collins to a 4-1 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division III victory over Maple Grove.

Lucio Zagari added a goal and an assist, and Evan Weisdel found the back of the net once for the winners (9-5-0, 5-2-0). Teammate Mitchell Kehr also had an assist.

For the Red Dragons (7-6-0, 2-5-0), Ty Oste was credited with the goal.
