Wolfpack downs Fredonia in C South

FREDONIA — Carson White went 9 of 14 for 157 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 108 yards and two scores to lead Clymer/Sherman/Panama to a 44-20 Class C South win over Fredonia at the Orange Bowl on Friday night.

Gavin Burchanowski caught five passes for 125 yards and two scores for the Wolfpack, which improved to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in the league.

“The offense was solid tonight. Carson did a good job running the offense. The backs ran hard and credit the line with creating holes,” Clymer/Sherman/Panama head coach Dave Bodamer said. “They had some players back from injury and that helped them plug some things up, but we worked through it,”

Matthew Redlecki led the Clymer/Sherman/Panama defense with 12 tackles, including a sack, and three tackles for a loss. Mason Groters also had 12 tackles while Troy Chambers had nine.

“The defense struggled getting off the field and one drive was aided heavily with big penalties,” Bodamer said. “We gave up a kick return as well, which I felt we had fixed already.”

For the Hillbillies (1-4, 1-4), Lavonce Donaldson ran for a 3-yard touchdown, Donovan Dowdy returned a kickoff 84 yards for a score and Markel Davis ran for a 3-yard touchdown.
