ELLICOTTVILLE — Teddy Edwards scored in the 11th minute from Rian Johnson and that was all Ellicottville/Franklinville needed to defeat Global Concepts in the prequarterfinals of the Class C playoffs.

Landon Jankowiak added an insurance goal in the 49th minute for the Eagles and Johnson scored a final goal from Edwards in the 79th. No. 7 Ellicottville/Franklinville will take on defending champion, No. 2 Allegany-Limestone on Friday at 6 p.m.

Global Concepts finishes the year with a 1-13-0 record.

NORTH COLLINS OUSTS CHAUTAUQUA LAKE

NORTH COLLINS — Neven Sheehy scored the game-winning goal from Czedrick Neri to lift North Collins past Chautauqua Lake 2-1 in the Class C prequarterfinals.

Lucio Zagari got the scoring started for North Collins in the 52nd minute. The 8-seeded Eagles move on to play No. 1 Wilson on Friday at 3 p.m.

Chautauqua Lake finishes the year with a 8-7-0 record.

PORTVILLE GETS PAST FREWSBURG

PORTVILLE — No. 5 Portville scored three goals in the final 20 minutes and shut out Frewsburg 4-0 in the first round of the playoffs.

Colin German scored twice for the Panthers, while Vic Vena scored unassisted and Patrick Perkins found the net from Garrett Reynolds. Portville will travel to No. 4 Holland for a quarterfinal matchup at 4:30 p.m. pm Friday.

Frewsburg finishes the year with a 0-14-0 record.

TONAWANDA ELIMINATES GOLDEN COUGARS

TONAWANDA — Derek Leiker scored twice and set up two goals as Tonawanda eliminated Cassadaga Valley/Falconer 4-0 in the Class B prequarterfinals.

Leiker set up Donato Vargas and Gio Vargas for goals as the Timberwolves advanced in the playoffs. No. 8 Tonawanda will take on top-seed Lafayette in the quarterfinals on Friday at All High Stadium at 3:30 p.m.

The Golden Cougars wrap up the season with a 5-11-1 record.

ALDEN KNOCKS OUT PINE VALLEY/GOWANDA

ALDEN — Alden knocked out No. 15 Pine Valley/Gowanda in the Class B prequarterfinals with a 9-1 decision.

No. 2 Alden hosts No. 10 Eden in a quarterfinal matchup on Friday at 4 p.m.

Finn Steward scored the lone goal for the Panthers and they finished the season with a 1-16-0 record.

WARRIORS ELIMINATED

BUFFALO — No. 1 Lafayette rolled No. 16 Salamanca 16-0 in the Class B prequarterfinals at All High Stadium.

Lafayette will host No. 8 Tonawanda on Friday in the quarterfinals.

Salamanca finishes the year with a 1-16-0 record.
