Chautauqua Lake girls win Knuutila Memorial
SANBORN — The Chautauqua Lake girls wrestling team reached the top of the podium twice on Saturday at the Linda C. Knuutila Memorial tournament on Saturday at SUNY Niagara to claim the team title with 210.5 points.
Chautauqua Lake sophomore Noli Paddock was dominant at 138 pounds, not giving up a single point en route to the title with three pins and a 10-0 technical fall against Niagara Wheatfield sophomore Alexa Doxey in the final.
The Eagles won their second title at 152 pounds when sophomore Lily Hyde reached the final as the 2-seed and knocked off No. 1 freshman McKella Hodkin of Fredonia with a 12-2 technical fall. Hodkin reached the final with a pin and a technical fall before losing to Hyde.
