Dunkirk girls edge Bears at Lucky Lanes

FREDONIA — Frewsburg/Southwestern’s Kelsey Fischer smashed a 236-213-236-685 — the fourth highest series in Section VI this season — but Dunkirk beat the Bears 2.5-1.5 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 girls bowling Thursday at Lucky Lanes.

Kierra Mount rolled a 208-198-172-578 to lead the Marauders (16.5-3.5) to a team linescore of 742-628-606-1,976. Gracey Kozlowski had a 183-499 and Paige Perry spun a 202 game.

Jessica Estabrook had a 171-466 for Frewsburg/Southwestern (11.5-4.5), which finished with a 660-628-618-1,906.

Sean Kelly rolled a 187-209-546 to lead Dunkirk to a 4-0 sweep of Frewsburg/Southwestern in boys action.

Hans Lemiszko spun a 205-525, Michael Glowniak had a 181-500 and Karter Keppel had a 176-487 for the Marauders (15-5), who finished with a team linescore of 856-754-878-2,488.

Tripp Swartz spilled a 192-185-507 and Chase Lombardo had a 178-175-487 for the Bears (11-5), who finished with a 770-739-757-2,266.

SILVER CREEK — Aiden Peters rolled 247-211-619 as the Falconer boys swept Silver Creek 890-806-777-2,473 to 513-490-471-1,474 in Division 1 at Hanover Lanes.

Erik Stenstrom rolled a 172-424-559 for the Golden Falcons (14-2) and Joshua Lincolnd had a 184-477.

Silver Creek (0-20) was led by Pierce Hamilton with the high series.

The Falconer girls won with a scoreline of 576-496-458-1,530 to 370-426-507-1,303.

Falconer (7-9) was paced by Alexis Cross with a 186 game.

Silver Creek (1-19) was led by Haley Smith with the high series.
