RANDOLPH — Ava Sears had 28 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals as Randolph beat Gowanda 70-36 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 3 girls basketball Thursday.

Gianna Bowles had 10 assists, nine rebounds and four steals while Ryanne Bushey had 11 points, six rebounds and two steals for the Cardinals (8-4, 3-2).

Corrina John led the Panthers (2-9, 0-5) with 17 points.

UPENDS WESTFIELD

WESTFIELD — Chautauqua Lake waited until the final quarter for its best basketball, outscoring Westfield 14-4 to steal a 36-31 Division 2 victory.

The Eagles (9-5, 4-3) made 7 of 12 free throws in the fourth quarter and finished the game 14 of 25 from the line, while limiting Westfield to just one field goal in the fourth quarter and a pair of free throws.

Chautauqua Lake was led by Kaylee Tarr with 20 points and Brina Jacobson provided 10 points with nine rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Westfield was led by Nahlia Douglas with 8 points and four rebounds. Olivia Wolfe had four boards and three steals, Mackenzie Schumaker grabbed four steals and Maddie Burgess dealt out two assists.

The Wolverines (10-3, 5-2) have now dropped three games in a row since starting the season with 10 victories.

SINCLAIRVILLE — Breonna Hopkins scored 6 of her game-high 20 points during a 12-6 third quarter as Cassadaga Valley pulled away from Portville en route to a 40-29 Division 3 win.

Hopkins added eight rebounds and five steals; Maddie Debo had 10 points and six rebounds; and Alexis Pattyson had four steals for the Cougars (6-4, 2-2).

Ava Scanlon led the Panthers (8-4, 2-2) with 8 points; Emma Rhinehart had 10 steals, seven rebounds and two assists; Ali Haynes had 10 rebounds; and Addie Isaman grabbed six rebounds.

On Monday, Cassadaga Valley will host Randolph in a game dedicated to Morgan’s Message, a nonprofit that strives to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community.

WEST ELLICOTT — Southwestern outscored Falconer 39-14 in the middle two quarters en route to a 62-33 Division 1 win.

Marlana Cresanti led the Trojans (11-4, 9-0) with 19 points, seven steals and five rebounds; Jada Edwards had 16 points, eight rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots; and Gianna Sirianni had 15 points, six assists, two rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots. Charlotte Beaver had seven rebounds and four steals while Braya Beaver had four assists, three steals and two rebounds.
