Chautauqua Lake girls roll Brocton 63-39
BROCTON — A pair of career scoring bests highlighted Chautauqua Lake’s 63-39 victory over Brocton in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 girls basketball game Tuesday.
Kaylee Tarr poured in 25 points to go along with seven rebounds and four steals, and Brina Jacobson added 16 points and eight steals for the Eagles, who improved to 6-2 overall and 2-0 in the league.
Cameron Mackey and Eden Ludwig both collected four steals, and Addison Chess grabbed five rebounds for the winners.
For the Bulldogs (0-4, 0-2), Haylee Canton led the way with 12 points, and Bri Newell and Sha’nah Adams both had 10. Canton also grabbed 10 rebounds and Zoe Spiller was credited with eight boards and five assists.

GOWANDA — Freshman Ava Sears tied a career high with 22 points to go along with nine steals and five assists as Randolph beat Gowanda 55-35 in Division 3 play.
Gianna Bowles had 13 points, seven rebounds, seven steals and four assists while Ryanne Bushey had 15 rebounds and Tessa Brown picked up six steals for the Cardinals (3-1, 1-0).
Corrina John, Halia Rivera and Minnie John had 8 points apiece for the Panthers (0-5, 0-1).

OEHLBECK SHINES FOR SHERMAN
ELLERY — Baya Oehlbeck scored all 21 of her points during the middle two quarters as Sherman pulled away from Maple Grove for a 49-38 Division 2 victory.
The Red Dragons (4-3, 0-2) led 11-10 after the first quarter before Oehlbeck scored 8 points in the second quarter and 13 more in the third quarter. The Wildcats (3-6, 2-1) outscored the hosts 38-11 during the 16-minute stretch.
Carlie Gable had 12 points and four rebounds; Oehlbeck had five steals; and Madison Emory had four rebounds for Sherman.
Bry Cornell led Maple Grove with 13 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and four steals. Meg Ryan had 12 points and 11 rebounds while Morgan Caldwell grabbed five rebounds.

TROCKI HAS BIG NIGHT FOR FREWSBURG
FREWSBURG — Jadyn Trocki had 26 points, eight steals, seven assists, four rebounds and three blocked shots to lead Frewsburg past Mercyhurst Prep (Pa.) 55-44 in nonleague play.
Abery Harvey added 13 points, three steals and two assists while Elysse Gruber had 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Bears. Jaden Jimerson and Presleigh Stelmack grabbed six rebounds apiece in the win.
Frewsburg led 25-18 at halftime and 39-36 entering the fourth quarter before Trocki scored her final 10 points to help the Bears put the game away.
Mari Nixon led the Lakers with 23 points.
