Falconer boys, girls bowling top Silver Creek

JAMESTOWN — The Falconer boys and girls bowling teams swept Silver Creek in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 action at Jamestown Bowling Company on Tuesday.

The boys posted a scoreline of 859-943-942-2,744 to Silver Creek’s 520-543-574-1,637.

Erik Stenstrom rolled 212-179-189-580 to lead the Golden Falcons (28-4). Aiden Peters added 167-189-211-567, Joshua Lincoln tossed 172-202-192-566, Tyler Swanson had 215-178-580 and Waylin Goodwin posted a 172 game.

Silver Creek (0-32) was led by Carter Fuhrman with the high series.

The Falconer girls swept with a scoreline of 545-515-548-1,608 to Silver Creek’s 364-367-381-1,112.

Alexis Cross recorded a 170 game for Falconer (11-21).

Haley Smith had the high series for Silver Creek (1-31).

COUGARS ROLL PAST CARDINALS

JAMESTOWN — Gavin Penhollow rolled a 204 game and the high series of 481 to lead the Cassadaga Valley boys in a Division 2 sweep past Randolph at Jamestown Bowling Company.

The Cougars posted a scoreline of 748-628-682-2,058 to Randolph’s 526-576-529-1,631.

Jack Watson added a 197 game for Cassadaga Valley (10-26).

Randolph (0-44) was led by Eric Terhune with the high series and Nicholas Shearer tossed a 166 game.

The Cassadaga Valley girls also swept with a scoreline of 547-517-599-1,663 to Randolph’s 402-399-374-1,175.

Emma Nickerson rolled 184-502 for the Cougars (12-4), while Mattea Hilliker added a 176 game.

Shelby Whitford rolled the high series for Randolph (1-19).

GOWANDA TAKES DOWN SALAMANCA

SALAMANCA — The Gowanda boys and girls bowling teams defeated Salamanca in Division 3 action at Central Lanes.

The boys swept with a scoreline of 1,064-908-848-2,820 to Salamanca’s 714-771-794-2,279.

Gowanda (19-1) was led by Gavin Whitcher rolling 236-170-204-610, Nicholas Smuda hit 222-180-562, Zachary Hojnacki tossed 201-168-508 and Rowen Liskow knocked 174-170.

Salamanca (12-12) was paced by Cayden Lafferty rolling 166-183-505, Waylon Dowdy had a 233 game and Andrew McCormick Jr. hit 170.

The Gowanda girls posted a scoreline of 877-838-823-2,538 to Salamanca’s 803-693-831-2,327.

The Panthers (17-3) were paced by Aubrey Smuda rolling 184-171-487, Lyla Plandowski tossed a 164 and Layal Weiskerger hit 160.

The Warriors (11-9) were led by Emelia Prey with 203-222-545 and Kyleigh Rohwer hit 165.

WOLVES SWEEP MAPLE GROVE

CUTTING — Max White rolled 203-234-173-610 to lead the Clymer/Sherman boys past Maple Grove at Cutting Lanes in Division 2.

The Wolves posted a winning scoreline of 807-851-809-2,467 to Maple Grove’s 644-649-724-2,017.

Clymer/Sherman (34-6) also had Dayton Hosier toss 174-183-508, Brett Rater had 169-168 and Ashton Hosier rolled a 183 game.

Maple Grove (14-18) was led by Max Collins with a 182 game.
