Brocton boys fall to T’wolves in thriller

CATTARAUGUS — Tucker Barrick and Owen Wright scored 17 points apiece to lead Cattaraugus-Little Valley to a 67-61 overtime victory over Brocton in a nonleague boys basketball game Tuesday.

Branson Gabel added 10 points for the winners (15-5), who survived a 13 of 32 night from the foul line.

For the Bulldogs (0-19), Anthony Gatto poured in a game-high 26 points, including eight 3-pointers, and Anthony Mitchell chipped in 10.

PANTHERS HOLD OFF FORESTVILLE

GOWANDA — Gowanda made its final basket with about two minutes to go, taking a 78-74 lead over Forestville.

The Panthers defense came up big down the stretch, forcing difficult shots and turnovers to secure a 78-76 nonleague victory.

Gowanda (11-8) had five double-digit scorers with Cashis Montour providing 17, Aiden Geiger 15, Lukas Barrett 14, Seth Geiger 13 and Trelin Warrior 11.

Forestville (15-5) was led by Patrick Reilly hitting five 3-pointers and scoring a game-high 27 points. Blake Waterman added 12 points, William Duliba 11 and Jack Spengler 10 for the Hornets.
