Fredonia girls advance to Class A2 semis
BUFFALO — Cece Tonelli had 14 points, eight steals and three rebounds to lead No. 7 Fredonia past No. 2 Buffalo Academy of Science 47-28 in a Section VI Class A2 girls basketball quarterfinal Tuesday.
Juliana Snyder added 11 points, four rebounds and two steals for the Hillbillies, who led 27-15 at halftime.
Madelyn Polhamus also had eight rebounds and three assists for Fredonia, which will take on No. 6 East Aurora in the 2 p.m. semifinal Saturday at Buffalo State University. The Blue Devils beat No. 3 City Honors 40-24 in another quarterfinal Tuesday.
Kimoni Prude led Buffalo Academy of Science with 14 points.
