Anderson, seeded No. 14 in the 103-pound Division 2 bracket, made quick work of No. 19 Alyn Capen of Peru-VII with a 15-0 technical fall victory. He breezed through his first-round opponent and will next wrestle No. 3 Connor Duryea of Avon/Geneseo-V in the prequarterfinals later this afternoon.

Falconer/Cassadaga Valley junior Dylan Newman got in on the shorty after, picking up a 26-second pin in his first-round match at 126 pounds against No. 21 Karian Aspinall of Bronx Studio School.
