Krenzer takes 4th in 200y freestyle at Class A prelims
CLARENCE — Frewsburg/Southwestern/Jamestown Falconer’s swimmers turned in some impressive performances at the Section VI Class A prelims Thursday at Clarence High School.
Bears senior Miles Moore took the top spots in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.10 seconds and 100-yard freestyle with a time of 47.35 seconds.
Miles’ twin brother, Grady, was first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 52.55 and fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.34)..
Frewsburg/Southwestern/Jamestown/Falconer junior Landon Frederes took the top spot in the 100-yard backstroke (53.80)
Fredonia/Dunkirk/Forestville junior Trenton Krenzer was fourth in the 200-yard freestyle (1:52.31) and Frederes was seventh (1:52.79). Krenzer was also seventh in the 100-yard butterfly (57.09).
Frewsburg/Southwestern/Jamestown/Falconer sophomore Levi Overend was fifth in the 500-yard freestyle (5:17.16)
The Bears turned in the top times in both the 200-yard medley relay (1:37.56) and 200-yard freestyle relay (1:29.05) while also swimming the eight best time in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:44.46).
Fredonia/Dunkirk/Forestville swam the ninth fastest times in the 200-yard medley relay (1:54.14) and 400-yard freestyle relay (3:46.54) and 12th fastest time in the 200-yard freestyle relay (2:04.20).
The 1-meter diving competition will take place today at Maryvale High School while the swimming finals will be back at Clarence on Saturday.
