HOUGHTON — Members of the Jamestown and Dunkirk/Silver Creek/Forestville teams performed well Saturday at the Section VI Varsity Select No. 4 indoor track and field meet at Houghton University’s Kerr-Pegula Field House.

Leading the way was Jamestown sophomore Beckett Lumia, who captured first place in the 300 meters with a time of 36.10.

Other boys who finished in the top five were Nathan Mays of Dunkirk/Silver Creek/Forestville, tied for second in the pole vault (12 feet) and third in the shot put (45-2); and Jamestown’s 800-meter relay third (1:34.81) and Troy Keefe fourth in the shot (45-1).

Among the girls top five, Dunkirk/Silver Creek/Forestville’s Abigail Gawron was fourth in the shot put (29-1) and Leah Mays was fifth in the 1,500 meters (5:16.88).
