GOWANDA — A seven-run second inning gave Gowanda an 8-1 lead en route to an 18-4 nonleague softball win over Dunkirk on Wednesday.

Corrina John had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs; Bella Maines had two hits, including a double, and scored two runs; and Sophia Bobseine doubled, drove in a run and scored twice for the Panthers.

Hayleigh Miller struck out seven in five innings of work in the circle for the win.

For the Marauders, Gabby Grann had two hits, drove in a run and scored a run; Chelsey Tramuto doubled and scored a run; and Gracie Grann tripled and scored a run.
