SINCLAIRVILLE — A pair of singles victories and splitting doubles competition lifted Fredonia boys tennis past Cassadaga Valley 3-2 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 action on Thursday.

Jackson Spangler and Elias Harper earned wins in first and second singles for Fredonia (2-3, 2-1), while the pair of Bennett Shephard and Sam Pietro won a marathon match in second doubles to secure the league victory.

Cassadaga Valley benefitted from a forfeit in third singles and then won first doubles thanks to the duo of Gavin Penhollow and Gabe Cleveland.
