Fredonia rallies past Hornets
FORESTVILLE — Fredonia rallied from a 6-3 deficit and scored six runs in the top of the sixth inning to beat Forestville 10-6 in a nonleague softball playoff tuneup Monday.
Ava Muck went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double and five RBIs while Gia Muscarella also hit a solo home run for the Hillbillies (14-3). Naomi Muck added three hits and Kara Harrington hit a go-ahead two-run double for the winners. Harrington also earned the win in the circle with three scoreless innings of one-hit ball, striking out four.
Carilene Sliwa was 2 for 4 with a double and three runs scored while Madison Christian and Alexandra Kerstetter each added a single for the Hornets (10-3).

HILLBILLIES COLLECT 18 HITS
FREDONIA — Callie Draggett had four hits, including a double and a triple, as Fredonia pounded out 18 hits as a team en route to a 10-5 nonleague victory over Chautauqua Lake on Saturday.
Isabella Buckley had three hits, including two doubles; Naomi Muck and Ava Muck had three hits apiece; Jenna Fryberger had two hits, including a double; and Gia Muscarella had two hits for the Hillbillies.
Fredonia led 6-5 entering the bottom of the sixth inning before scoring its final four runs.
Anna Delcamp earned the win with a pair of strikeouts and McKella Hodkin earned the save, striking out four of the last six batters she faced.
For the Eagles (12-1), Alice Scarpine went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and Lucy Gates went 2 for 4 with an RBI. Macy Ulsh and Alexis Szumigala combined for eight strikeouts in the circle.
