WEST ELLICOTT — Austin Duliba scored 10 points to lead Fredonia past Southwestern 32-30 in the first round of the Red Bracket Division playoffs in Unified basketball Wednesday.

Luke McKnatt added 8 points while Julian Ocasio and Louie Gugino had 6 points apiece for the Hillbillies. Mason Wienke chipped in 2 points.

For the Trojans, Ernie Confer had 10 points and Connor Caruso had 6 while Jade Jones and Isaiah Coceres each had 4. Joey Reyes, Saviere Diaz and Shawn Munson each scored 2 points.

Fredonia will take on Salamanca, which beat Jamestown 46-41 on Wednesday, in the next round of the playoffs at 9:45 a.m. Friday at Fredonia State University.

The Warriors were led by Jacob Johnson-Drain with 14 points against the Red & Green. Kaine Whitcomb and John Holmes-Pierce had 8 points apiece; Ernest Pinnecoose had 6 and Jarvis Crowe had 4. Logan Abrams, David Dunn and Holden Sadler chipped in 2 points apiece for Salamanca.

Playoff games will be played at 9:45 a.m., 11 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. on Friday in either Dods Hall or Steele Hall.
