FREDONIA — The Fredonia Unified basketball team defeated its rival Dunkirk 36-26 on Monday.

Kaiden Strycula led the Hillbillies (2-1) with a game-high 14 points, Louis Gugino added another 8, Luke McKnatt provided 4 and then Julian Ocasio, Jason Rosario, Elizabeth Joy, Mason Wienke and Brooklyn Smith made one basket each.

Dunkirk was led by Mekiah Sedlacek and Ben Smith with 8 points each, both Cadence Cave and Marcus Bautista added 4 points and Adrien Frank scored 2 points.

Fredonia is back in action on Thursday when it travels to Cassadaga Valley.
