BUSTI — Stateline Speedway is set to open its 70th anniversary season this weekend with the Bill Law Memorial, a marquee event for the RUSH Late Model Series, following another weather-related cancellation last Saturday.
Anticipation for the season opener is high following a heavily attended Sunday practice session that drew strong car counts across multiple divisions.
The event honors the late Bill Law, a regional dirt track racing pioneer. Law became the area’s first Crate Late Model team owner when the class debuted in 2007 and fielded cars for a distinguished roster of drivers throughout his successful tenure as a car owner.
Since its inaugural running in 2017, the Bill Law Memorial has been dominated by Jeremy Wondering, who holds four career victories in the event. He will look to add to his total against a competitive regional field and a list of former event winners that includes Joe Martin, Damien Bidwell, Brock Pinkerous and Max Blair.
The RUSH Late Model Touring Series will be joined on the Kortwright Road oval by Stateline’s weekly racing divisions, which are also looking to officially kick off their 2026 campaigns. The evening’s undercard features Super Late Models, UMP Modifieds, Pro Stocks, RUSH Pro Mods, RUSH Stocks and Challengers.
On-track activity begins with RUSH Late Model hot laps at 6:15 p.m. General admission for the grandstands is $20, while pit passes are available for $40. Discounted admission rates are available for seniors, veterans and students.
Fans are encouraged to check Stateline Speedway and the RUSH Late Model Series social media channels for further updates.
