Dunkirk Walleye Festival slated for weekend

The Dunkirk Walleye Festival, presented by Dunkirk Festivals and Primitive Patriot Outdoors, will include vendors, weigh-in shows, and live music open to the public Friday and Saturday afternoon and evening at the Dunkirk Pier. The pier will be closed from Thursday at 2 p.m. until Sunday afternoon for the festival and Thursday’s Music on the Pier.
Vendors will be open beginning Friday at 2 p.m., and Saturday at 11 a.m. Friday night from 7-10 p.m. Cold Beer Creek will be taking the stage. Saturday night from 7-10 p.m. 1980 Something will be performing to close out day 2 of the festival. Guests are reminded to bring a chair. The Dunkirk Boardwalk Marketplace and surrounding businesses will also be open.
Weigh-In Shows will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday featuring all anglers’ catches as well as giveaways and awards. To conclude the festival, a free kids fishing clinic will take place at 8 a.m. Sunday June 7. Kids can learn from professional anglers the basics of fishing.
