The Huskies have been rewarded with three of the league’s postseason awards.

Senior pitcher Austin Miles was named both the Al Stuhlmiller Player of the Year and Roger K. Moore Pitcher of the Year while Olean’s Les DeGolier was named the Coach of the Year.

Joining Miles on the league’s First Team from the Huskies was senior catcher Caine DeGolier and junior third baseman Ethan Woodring.

Southwestern had four players named to the league’s First Team in junior outfielder/pitcher Cooper Charles, sophomore infielder/pitcher Lucas Genareo, sophomore infielder/pitcher Wilson Genareo and junior infielder Oscar Harris. Charles went 6-0 with a save in 33 2-3 innings for the Trojans, pitching to a 0.83 earned run average while striking out 42 opposing batters. Wilson Genareo hit a team-best .490 with eight doubles, two triples and a home run while driving in 17 runs and scoring 32. Lucas Genareo hit .353 with eight doubles, a triple and a home run while driving in 11 runs and scoring 19. Harris hit .438 with five doubles, a triple and a team-high four home runs while driving in 25 runs and scoring 20.

Dunkirk had a pair of players named to the First Team in junior second baseman Aries Cheverez and senior first baseman/pitcher Anthony Cosme. Cheverez hit .379 with two doubles and 13 stolen bases while driving in 11 runs and scoring 24. Cosme went 5-2 on the mound with a 1.95 ERA while holding opposing batters to a .146 average. At the plate, he hit .350 with three doubles and a home run while driving in 12 runs.

Fredonia also had a pair of players named to the First Team in junior first baseman/pitcher Matt Cowan and senior shortstop Brady Crawford. Cowan hit .365 with four doubles and four triples while driving in 10 runs and scoring 17. He also stole 18 bases. On the mound, he won four games and struck out 50. Crawford hit .417 with four doubles. He drove in 14 runs and scored 13.

Silver Creek/Forestville seventh-grade third baseman/pitcher Damon Bell and Salamanca senior catcher/pitcher Payton Bradley completed the First Team. Bell hit a team-best .400 with six doubles and a triple while driving in eight runs and scoring eight runs. Bradley hit .492 with four doubles and four triples while driving in 15 runs and scoring 18. He also stole 18 bases.

Salamanca junior Andrew McCormick earned the league’s Pete Criscione Sportsmanship Award. Other Sportsmanship Award nominees included: Allegany-Limestone freshman Tayden Margeson, Dunkirk senior Josh Lemanski, Fredonia junior Gavin Piazza, Olean senior Grady Smucinski, Silver Creek/Forestville junior Caden Fote and Southwestern senior Alex Watkins.
