CASSADAGA — Brenton Wilcox and Jake Lilly captured the Cassadaga Country Club Member-Guest on a weekend in which it opened the new eighth and ninth holes for play on the second nine holes each day.

The eighth hole, built adjacent to the existing par 3, features an uphill 392-yard par 4 to a new green. The new ninth hole features a tee that lengthens the existing hole to 535 yards.

On the tournament’s first day, play was a best-ball then scramble format. Leading the way were Tim Bulger and guest Jim Henderson, who were tied for the lead with Jordan Marsh and guest Adam McKinley. Wilcox and Lilly were a stroke behind and were tied for third with the teams of Brandon Walker and guest Scott Nickerson, and Jackson Marsh and guest Chris McKinley.

The second day featured a best-ball and a modified scramble round. Wilcox and Lilly finished two strokes better than the field and won with a 119. Jordan Marsh’s hole-in-one on No. 6 helped him and Adam McKinley claim second place. Bulger and Henderson secured third place.
