The Fredonia Bandits took down the Rawlings Tigers of Buffalo 7-2 on Saturday in the championship game of the South Buffalo Auxiliary League playoffs at Okell Park.

Fredonia entered the season-ending tournament as the No. 1 seed after winning the regular-season title with a 10-1 record. The Tigers were the No. 2 seed -- their only two regular-season losses came at the hands of the Bandits.

Rawlings scored on an error in the top of the first inning.

The Bandits answered quickly in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs on five hits to take the lead. Leading the way in the inning was a two-run double by Gavin Piazza.

The Bandits extended their lead with two runs in the bottom of the second, thanks to RBI singles by Pauly Tabone and Luka Paoletta.

Piazza went the distance on the mound and earned the win for Fredonia, giving up four hits and two runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out seven and walking three.

Brayden Korzeniewski, Ryan Johnson, Rocco Muscarella, Henry Conroy and Max Hazelton each collected hits for Fredonia. Tabone and Piazza also drove in two runs apiece for the Bandits. Muscarella added three stolen bases on the day.
