In the first game of a doubleheader, a pitchers' duel between the A’s' Austin Spicer and the Pirates' Austin Alonge went Spicer's way with a four-hitter.
Trent Gray had two hits while Gib Stuart had a hit and three RBIs to pace the A’s.
The Pirates defense shined as they turned two double plays in the game.

In the nightcap, it was an offensive explosion as both teams got the sticks going.
The Pirates plated seven runs in the first inning without recording an out. Brian Gunnell came on in relief and shut the rally down. He went the rest of the game scattering seven hits and allowing only two runs for the win. As for the A’s offense, they had nine players all with a hit as they waited until the top of the fifth inning and plated nine runs.

Austin Spicer came on early in relief in the second inning and pitched six solid innings scattering five hits while striking out eight to notch the win on the hill for the A’s.
Trent Gray had two hits, including a double, and Randy Stuart also had two hits to pace a nine-hit attack.
Steve Romanik and Alex Emery both had two hits to back losing pitcher John Greene.

Travis Butcher only had to go six innings and strike out 10 on the mound as the A’s used the 10-run rule to put the Expos away early.
Butcher led the A’s at the dish with three hits while Brian Gunnell had a pair of triples and three RBIs. Dylan Bankoski and Trevor Spicer had two hits apiece as the offense produced 12 hits.
Dakota Moreno took the loss while Doug Clark had two hits for the Expos.

The A’s pounded out nine runs in the bottom of the first inning and coasted the rest of the game to give the Brewers their first loss of the season.
Trent Gray tripled with three RBIs while Zack Nykula and Adam Erickson each had a pair of hits to pace the 10-hit A’s offense. Bob Bankoski was the defensive star. Travis Butcher pitched the complete-game victory scattering three hits while striking out seven.
Bryce Sherrard doubled and scored twice for the Brewers.
