Nearly 400 people attended the Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame’s annual summer picnic Monday at the Lakewood Rod & Gun club as dozens of local athletes were honored. Above, from left, brothers Dave and Pete Crisione relax on the patio at the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club in advance of the picnic. Dave is a 2010 CSHOF inductee, while Pete was enshrined in 1994. Below left, Bill and Lisa Catania, owners of Stateline Speedway in Busti, chat with Dr. Charles Sinatra on the patio at the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. The Catanias were the recipient of the Dr. Charles Sinatra Legacy Award, which is presented annually to an unsung county sports hero. Sinatra is also director emeritus of the CSHOF. Below right, Tom Phillips, left, shares a moment with his former high school football coach and CSHOF inductee Bill Race (Class of 1995) on the patio at the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. Race, the head coach at Falconer Central School from 1962 to 1995, is a CSHOF board member.
