SILVER CREEK -- Abby Cook had another big offensive performance for the Silver Creek/Forestville girls soccer team, netting five goals and dishing five assists as the Black Knights rolled Pine Valley/Gowanda 14-1 in nonleague action on Friday.
The Black Knights (2-0-0) had plenty of girls get in on the action with Kyla Ziegler scoring a goal and adding two assists, Malayah Eldridge scored twice, both Eliza Mahaney and Emily Bain had a goal and an assist, while Samantha Hogg-Timmermann, Lilly Fox, Ericka Austin and Claire Gonzalez had one goal each and Kaydence Ziolkowski, Alexis Wicks and Chloe Ingram provided an assist each. Kendall Strychalski made one save in the win.
Pine Valley/Gowanda falls to 0-1-0 on the season.
WILSON DOWNS DUNKIRK
TONAWANDA -- Lilly Gurski scored two goals and two assists to lead Wilson past Dunkirk 8-0 in nonleague action at Tonawanda High School.
Colbie Elia netted a pair and added an assist for the Lakewomen (1-0-0), Zoey Beck scored twice, Kylee Elia had two assists, both Addison Elia and Kairi Beck scored once each and both Abigail Labarre and Grace Smith had one assist. Dunkirk (0-1-0) tested Brooke Urban with four shots and she turned them all aside for the clean sheet.
