Fredonia’s Lendt, Krenzer post cross country victories

LITTLE VALLEY -- Meredith Lendt led the Fredonia/Westfield girls to victory with 16 points and Trent Krenzer led the Fredonia/Westfield boys to a win with 23 points during Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association cross country action at the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds.
Lendt took first place with a time of 20:12 and Krenzer won with a time of 17:41.
Cattaraugus-Little Valley's girls, led by sixth-place Madeline Pietras, were second with 61 points and Falconer/Cassadaga Valley was third with 87 points. Kadence Durow was fourth for incomplete Randolph and Elliott Merrill was eighth for incomplete Salamanca.
Falconer/Cassadaga Valley's boys, led by second-place Anson Miller, were second with 73 points and Salamanca's boys, led by third-place Aiden George, were third with 94 points. Cattaraugus-Little Valley and Randolph were incomplete.

WOLFPACK TAKES TOP FOUR SPOTS
FREWSBURG -- Ely Smith led a group of four Clymer/Sherman/Panama runners at the front of the boys race as the Wolfpack won with 17 points.
Frewsburg won the girls race with 27 points, led by second-place Grace Gilevski.
Savannah Whitney won the girls race in 21:06 as Clymer/Sherman/Panama took second with 29 points. Brocton was third with 99 points. Nora Reynolds was 10th for incomplete Franklinville/Ellicottville.
In the boys race, Smith finished in 18:04. Frewsburg was second with 53 points, led by fifth-place Strider Dahlin. Franklinville/Ellicottville was third with 59 points, led by eighth-place Kellen Hatch.

PRICE PACES MAPLE GROVE BOYS
COLLINS -- Liam Price's first-place finish led the Maple Grove boys to victory with 32 points and Lily Elliss' second-place finish led the Red Dragons girls to a win with 29 points at the Collins Conservation Club.
Price finished in 17:19, 18 seconds faster than second-place Jaxon Hagan of Gowanda, which finished second with 40 points. Olean was third with 56 points, led by fourth-place Declan Boutillette. Silver Creek/Dunkirk/Forestville was incomplete.
Silver Creek/Dunkirk/Forestville's Leah Mays won the girls race in 19:32 as her team finished second with 40 points. Gowanda was third with 61 points, led by ninth-place Alivia Richter. Olean was incomplete, despite having third-place finisher May Eaton.
