FREDONIA -- Ben Brautigam’s overtime goal sent Fredonia past Dunkirk 4-3 in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division I matchup at Fredonia State University.
Seth Davidson assisted on Brautigam’s winning tally in the second minute of the extra session for the Hillbillies (1-1-1, 1-0-0).
Hayden Babar scored Fredonia’s opening goal from Jackson Stellrecht in the 17th minute. Oliver Rittenberg gave the Hillbillies a 2-1 lead in the 30th minute from Seth Davidson and Babar made it 3-1 from Lucas Davidson in the 35th minute.
Lucas Felt opened the scoring for the Marauders (1-4-0, 0-2-0) from Brady Dobek in the 12th minute. Luis Betancourt III scored from Dobek in the 67th minute and Felt tied the game 3-3 in the 77th minute.
Luka Paoletta made seven saves in net for Fredonia and Dylan Ott made nine saves in net for Dunkirk.
CARDINALS HOLD OFF PORTVILLE
RANDOLPH -- Aydan Eccles scored his second goal of the contest in the 66th minute from Grady Steward and Randolph held on for the 3-2 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division II victory Monday.
Eccles scored his first goal from Gavin Senn, just a minute after Portville opened the scoring on a tally by Garrett Reynolds. Randolph took the lead just before halftime when Isaac Pihlblad scored from the penalty marker with 1 second left.
Nick Edwards brought Portville within one in the 71st minute, but it was not enough as Randolph secured the narrow league win.
Randy Nottingham made eight saves for Randolph (3-2-0, 2-0-0), while Tristen Harvey had four saves for Portville (0-2-1, 0-1-0).
RED & GREEN TRIM OLEAN
JAMESTOWN -- Niam Rivera scored a goal and an assist to lift Jamestown past Olean 3-1 in Division I action at Strider Field.
Nias Rivera opened the scoring for the Red & Green 34 seconds into the contest with an assist from Robbie Williams. Beckett Lumia scored in the final minute of half from Niam Rivera and then Ali Alkharsan assisted the final goal in the 56th minute for the Jamestown (3-2-0, 2-0-0) win.
Connor Hogle scored from Ethan Woodring for the only Olean (2-2-0, 1-1-0) goal in the 69th minute.
WARRIORS BLANK PINE VALLEY/GOWANDA
SOUTH DAYTON -- Easton Chudy scored twice and Salamanca went on to win 5-0 against Pine Valley/Gowanda in Division II play.
Calum Farnum scored a goal and added an assist for the Warriors (3-0-0, 1-0-0). Andrew McCormick and Darren Hayes scored once each, while Drew Clayson, Alexzander Milks and Andrew Gifford provided an assist apiece.
Judah Bell made 13 saves for Pine Valley/Gowanda (0-4-0, 0-1-0).
WOLVERINES GET PAST EAGLES
NORTH COLLINS -- Caleb Freifeld scored in the 85th minute to send Westfield/Brocton past North Collins 1-0 in overtime for a Division III victory.
Braylon Swanson assisted the game-winning goal for the Wolverines (4-0-0, 2-0-0), while Nolan Anderson made four saves in net for the clean sheet.
North Collins (1-1-1, 0-1-0) made seven saves in the contest before giving up one in the 85th minute.
EAGLES UPEND GOLDEN COUGARS
ELLICOTTVILLE -- Holden Basher had a goal and an assist in under 10 minutes as Ellicottville/Franklinville defeated Cassadaga Valley/Falconer 4-1 in Division III play.
Tosh Klein, Rian Johnson and Ayce Caswell scored once each for the Eagles (3-1-0, 1-0-0), while Jacob Henning, Teddy Edwards and Jaxson LaCroix had an assist each.
Chase Parmentier scored from Jakob Huling in the 15th minute for Cassadaga Valley/Falconer (0-2-1, 0-2-0).
OSTE NETS WINNER ON LATE PK
ELLERY -- Ty Oste scored on a penalty kick with less than four minutes remaining to send Maple Grove past Frewsburg 4-3 in Division III action.
The Red Dragons took a 2-0 lead midway through the first half as JT Sellstrom scored from Oste and Aaden Dent tallied from Baker Johnson.
But a Red Dragons' own goal got the Bears (0-3-0, 0-1-0) back in the game with 14:40 remaining in the half and Isaac Hultberg scored from Lucas Randolph with 8:52 remaining to tie the game. Jayden Burch then gave Frewsburg a 3-2 lead with a penalty kick after a handball in the Maple Grove 18-yard box.
After the break, Oste scored off a Will Bryant corner kick to tie the game with under 36 minutes remaining before Oste's winner with 3:41 left in the game.
Aiden Dahlberg made nine saves in net for the Red Dragons (1-1-1, 1-0-0).
HORVATH SCORES TWICE FOR EAGLES
SILVER CREEK -- Lucas Horvath scored the eventual game-winning goal from Carter Crabtree in the 66th minute as Chautauqua Lake edged Silver Creek/Forestville 2-1 in Division III action.
Horvath opened the scoring from Travis Horvath in the 51st minute before the Black Knights' Ryan Cook answered from Alan Hoelzle in the 52nd minute.
Horvath's winner improved the Eagles to 2-2-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the league while Silver Creek/Forestville fell to 1-3-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the league.
