Wolverines trim North East

WESTFIELD -- The Westfield/Brocton boys soccer team edged North East (Pennsylvania) 2-1 in the Kevin White Memorial Game on Saturday.

Caleb Friefeld and Braylon Swanson found the back of the net for the Wolverines, while Ayden Reese and Parker Gambino collected an assist apiece.

The win improved Westfield/Brocton to 6-0 overall.

'BILLIES PREVAIL

FREDONIA -- Behind goals from Ben Brautigam and Hayden Babar, Fredonia downed Cassadaga Valley/Falconer 2-0 in a nonleague game at SUNY Fredonia.

Oliver Rittenberg was credited with an assist for the Hillbillies (3-1-1).

BEARS UPEND WARRIORS

FREWSBURG -- First-half goals by Jayden Burch and Isaac Hultberg were enough for Frewsburg to knock off Salamanca 2-0 in a nonleague game.

Peter Pasieka chipped in an assist for the Bears (1-4).

Andrew McCormick, assisted by Easton Chudy, accounted for the goal for the Warriors (3-3).
