Locally, there are some big challengers and starting on the opposite side of the bracket is Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division II champion Ellicottville/Franklinville (13-2-1) as the 2-seed. On Thursday at 3:30 p.m., the Eagles will entertain the winner of No. 10 Royalton-Hartland (4-11-1) at No. 7 Holland (7-8-1) which will be played on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.

CCAA Division III champion Westfield/Brocton (12-1-1) earned the 3-seed and will host No. 6 Chautauqua Lake (8-5-2) in a quarterfinal on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.

The other prequarterfinal will feature two CCAA Division III teams with No. 9 Frewsburg (3-11-0) making the trip to No. 8 Silver Creek/Forestville (4-10-1) on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. and the victory earns a trip to Wilson on Thursday night at 7.

On that same side of the bracket, No. 5 Randolph (9-5-2) will take on division rival No. 4 Portville (8-3-3) at Allegany-Limestone Central School on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.

In Class B, Lafayette (12-4-0) also begins its title defense as the No. 1 team at the top of the bracket and will face the winner between No. 17 Pine Valley/Gowanda (0-14-0) at No. 16 Albion (2-13-1) kicking off the playoffs on Monday at 3:30 p.m.

Southwestern (9-4-3) is on a favorable side of the bracket as the 6-seed and will host Newfane (7-8-0) in the prequarterfinals on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

CCAA Division I winner Allegany-Limestone/Hinsdale (11-2-2) is the No. 2 seed and will host No. 15 Olmsted (3-12-1) at 6 p.m.

No. 9 Fredonia (7-8-1) travels to No. 8 Springville (8-5-2) on Tuesday at 6 p.m. and the winner will likely match up with Lafayette in the quarterfinals on Thursday at All-High Stadium.

No. 13 Cassadaga Valley/Falconer (3-12-1) also starts on the road traveling to No. 4 Akron (8-5-0) on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., while No. 12 Salamanca (5-11-0) heads to No. 5 Tapestry (11-4-1) at the same time on Tuesday.
