DUNKIRK -- A pair of goals sent Fredonia past Dunkirk 2-1 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division I boys soccer Wednesday at Karl Hoeppner Field.
Oliver Rittenberg scored from Ben Brautigam before Brautigam also scored for the Hillbillies (4-5-1, 3-4-0). Luka Paoletta made 17 saves in net.
The Marauders fell to 1-7-2 overall and 0-5-2 in the league.
EAGLES, KNIGHTS PLAY TO DRAW
MAYVILLE -- Chautauqua Lake and Silver Creek/Forestville played to a 2-2 tie in Division III action.
Alan Hoelzle scored from Ryan Cook and Cook also scored for the Black Knights (4-5-1, 2-4-1). Aaron Cook made nine saves in net.
Travis Horvath scored from Urijah Meredith and Lucas Horvath scored from Michael Knight for the Eagles (4-3-2, 3-1-2). Landon Emery made four saves in net.
WARRIORS BLANK PINE VALLEY/GOWANDA
SALAMANCA -- Andrew McCormick scored twice to lead Salamanca past Pine Valley/Gowanda 3-0 in a Division II game.
Calum Farnum also scored while Darren Hayes had an assist for the Warriors (5-6-0, 3-4-0).
The Panthers fell to 0-9-0 overall and 0-6-0 in the league.
PORTVILLE SHUTS OUT CARDINALS
PORTVILLE -- Colin German assisted on both Portville goals in a 2-0 Division II victory over Randolph.
Luke Edwards scored in the 10th minute and Garrett Reynolds scored in the 78th minute for the Panthers (4-2-3, 4-1-1). Tristen Harvey made four saves en route to the clean sheet.
Randy Nottingham made nine saves for the Cardinals (6-4-2, 5-2-0).
HERNANDEZ NETS OVERTIME WINNER
FREWSBURG -- Nico Hernandez scored in the sixth minute of overtime as Maple Grove rallied from a 2-0 deficit to beat Frewsburg 3-2.
Jack Reynolds scored the first two goals for the Red Dragons (2-5-1, 2-4-0) with Ty Oste adding an assist. Aiden Dahlberg made four saves in net.
Tristan Stormer and Isaac Hultberg scored for the Bears (2-7-0, 1-5-0) while Jayden Burch had an assist. Jacob Ecklof made eight saves in net.
SWANSON RECORDS HAT TRICK
WESTFIELD -- Braylon Swanson netted a hat trick in Westfield/Brocton's 5-0 shutout of North Collins in Division III action.
Caleb Freifeld and Parker Gambino each added a goal for the Wolverines (10-1-0, 7-0-0). Gambino had two assists while Logan Baum, Freifeld and Caleb Stoughton each had one. Nolan Anderson made seven saves in net.
Blake Schlenker made 13 saves for the Eagles (3-3-3, 2-3-1).
LUMIA HAS BIG NIGHT
OLEAN -- Beckett Lumia had two goals and two assists to send Jamestown past Olean 5-1 in Division I.
Nico Mason, Tyjai Goodlow and Niam Rivera each added a goal while Joseph Armeli and Goodlow each chipped in an assist for the Red & Green (6-5-0, 5-2-0). Jason Leenders made nine saves in net.
Connor Hogle scored for the Huskies (2-6-2, 0-5-2).
