Gowanda sweeps Forestville in volleyball

FORESTVILLE -- Lilliana Pierce's 11 kills led four Gowanda girls with at least six kills as the Panthers beat Forestville 25-14, 25-7, 25-12 in nonleague girls volleyball Friday.

Bella Maines had 29 assists, four digs and two aces for Gowanda (10-1). Pierce had six digs and three blocks; Envy Cross had nine kills and a block; Maleina Moses had six kills, three digs and two aces; and Scarlett John had six kills, an assist, four digs and an ace.

The Hornets fell to 3-4 overall.

ELLICOTTVILLE SWEEPS PIRATES

ELLICOTTVILLE -- Three Ellicottville girls had at least seven kills to lead the Eagles to a 25-17, 26-24, 25-20 sweep of nonleague Clymer.

Karle Northrup had eight kills and two digs; Riley Whitmer had seven kills, 19 digs and an ace; Katie Lafferty had seven kills and two assists; Shiloh Miller had a kill, 22 assists, nine digs and three aces; and Marlee Maynard had 16 digs, a kill and three aces for Ellicottville (7-7).

The Pirates fell to 8-2 on the season.

CASSADAGA VALLEY COASTS

SINCLAIRVILLE -- Kailee Lacki provided nine kills, eight digs and five service points, including three aces, to lead Cassadaga Valley past Maple Grove 25-11, 25-23, 25-19 in nonleague play.

Alexis Pattyson had five kills, 11 digs and nine service points, including three aces; Melanie Miles had 20 assists, four digs and eight service points, including an ace; Eliana Katilus had 13 digs; and Anna Burlingame had 19 service points, including 14 in a row during the first game, for the Cougars (9-3).

Zoey Foley had eight kills, 11 digs, four assists and an ace; Lucy Castro had seven kills, six digs, two assists and an ace; Hailey Ullman had 13 digs; and Savannah Rambacher had 10 digs, 15 assists and two aces for the Red Dragons (4-5).
