Tonelli's hat trick powers Fredonia in Class B quarterfinals

ALDEN — Cecelia Tonelli netted a second-half hat trick to send No. 6 Fredonia past No. 3 Alden 4-1 in a Section VI Class B girls soccer quarterfinal Saturday. Senior Callie Draggett got the Hillbillies on the scoreboard in the first half when she converted a Tonelli pass. Tied 1-1 at halftime, Tonelli took over in the final 40 minutes. First, the junior scored from sophomore Nora Polhamus to make it 2-1 in the 57th minute. Just over a minute later, the same pair connected again to make it 3-1.
