Forestville softball holds off Randolph

RANDOLPH — Forestville opened up an early 6-0 lead and held on to defeat Randolph 6-4 in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 3 softball game Tuesday. Winning pitcher Alexandra Kerstetter scattered six hits and struck out 14 to help the Hornets raise their record to 9-2 overall and 8-1 in the division. FREDONIA — The Fredonia boys tennis team swept singles competition en route to a 3-2 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 victory against Westfield on Tuesday. Jackson Spengler, Elias Harper and Aaron Hartung victories in singles competition were enough to lift Fredonia (8-5, 7-2) to the win.
