Kerstetter throws perfect game for Forestville softball

BROCTON — Forestville put up nine runs Wednesday afternoon. The Hornets only needed one the way Alexandra Kerstetter was pitching. The sophomore right-hander threw a perfect game with eight strikeouts as Forestville shut out Brocton 9-0 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 3 softball. Kerstetter threw 57 of her 77 pitches for strikeouts. The only ball to leave the infield was the last out of the game when Brocton’s Zoe Spiller flew out to center fielder Emily Lillie.
