An accident on the I-90 heading east just pass the Newell Road underpass.

SHERIDAN — Traffic heading east on the I-90 is backed up due to an accident near the Newell Road underpass.

The call came in after 5 p.m. as the Fredonia Fire Department and New York State Police responded to the scene. The accident appears to be between an RV, which could be spotted off the shoulder facing the opposite direction of traffic, and a white van a little further down.

Fire officials say a person suffered minor injuries in the incident. An investigation into the matter is continuing.
