The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the motorcyclist who died in an accident Sunday night.

According to deputies, Paul W Diaz, 50, of Cherry Creek, was traveling on a motorcycle at about 6:45 p.m. when he struck a vehicle on Farrington Hollow Road that was backing out of a driveway. He was transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Jassen Sherman, 47, of Falconer was charged with failure to yield the right of way when entering the roadway and is due back in the town of Cherry Creek Court at a later date.
