Jamestown man jailed for allegedly assaulting a woman
HANOVER — A Jamestown man has been jailed for allegedly assaulting a woman Sunday night, sending her to the hospital.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, around 11 p.m. deputies were called to an address in the town of Hanover for a physical altercation. It is alleged that Kenneth Monture, 41, kicked and hit a woman, causing her serious injury. The woman was taken by Mercy flight to Erie County Medical Center for her injuries.
Monture was charged with second-degree assault and sent to the county jail with no bail.
