BROCTON — A traffic stop on East Main Street in the village this afternoon led to drug charges against a Fredonia man.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle and the operator identified himself as Shawn M. Taylor, 37. Through an investigation and a search of the vehicle, Taylor was found to be in possession of 13 bindles of heroin, several Xanax pills and a small amount of marijuana. Taylor was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
