Brooks doesn’t need zoning variance for new hospital

The Fredonia Zoning Board of Appeals meeting Tuesday night to consider a building setback zoning variance for Brooks-TLC’s proposed hospital in Fredonia ended quickly, after Chairwoman Phyllis Jones read a letter from Chief Inspection Officer Chuck LaBarbera stating the variance was unnecessary. LaBarbera consulted with Village Attorney Dan Gard on the variance and they found a provision in the village code that means the setback requirement doesn’t apply.
