North Tonawanda man facing DWI charges after hitting cars, business

HANOVER — A North Tonawanda man is facing several charges after he allegedly struck multiple parked vehicles and a local business while operating a vehicle in an intoxicated state.

On Friday at around 6:32 p.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with personal injury on Route 5 and 20 in the town of Hanover.

Investigation found that, Christopher J. Booker 48, of North Tonawanda, was reportedly operating a motor vehicle in an intoxicated state when he struck another vehicle. This caused Booker’s vehicle to go off of the roadway and strike multiple unoccupied parked vehicles at a local business.

Booker was transported to Lakeshore Hospital for minor injuries. None of the other subjects involved were injured. Booker was issued appearance tickets for driving while intoxicated, move from lane unsafely, following to closely, driving on the shoulder and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

Booker is to answer to these charges in Hanover Town Court at a later date.
