Baseball bat allegedly used in assault
BROCTON — A Brocton woman is accused of assaulting another with a baseball bat.
On Thursday, Chautauqua County Sheriff deputies responded to a residence in Brocton, for the report of a physical altercation. After an investigation, Rose M. Weary, 26, of was taken into custody for allegedly assaulting another individual with a baseball bat, biting them and lighting the individual’s property on fire.
Weary was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fifth-degree arson.
Weary was arraigned and is scheduled to return to court at a later date.
