Pa. man dies of injuries from Clymer crash

CLYMER — A person injured in a Feb. 13 auto accident died Thursday.

David S. Bensink, 69, of Wattsburg, Pa., died at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa. from injuries he sustained in the accident, according to a Thursday night press release issued by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

The release stated Bensink was hurt in a Feb. 13 accident on Clymer Center Road. Investigation determined that Michael T. Wade, 52, of Clymer, failed to keep right and struck Bensink’s vehicle in the oncoming lane. Bensink was reportedly not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. Both subjects were transported to UPMC Hamot for their injuries.

Wade was charged with failure to keep right. No additional charges are to be filed, according to the press release.
