MAYVILLE — A Jamestown man had minor injuries in a motor vehicle accident Wednesday.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, on Wednesday at around 8:30 p.m. deputies responded to the Chautauqua Suites in Mayville for a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival deputies located a single vehicle into a light pole. Further investigation found that Nathaniel L. Barone II, 61, was operating the vehicle in the parking lot when he struck a light pole.

Barone, who is the Chautauqua County Public Defender, was transported to Westfield Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
